2019 Summer Reading Information – Teens

How to Register

Registration opens June 1st! This year’s theme is Universe of Stories.  We received a grant this year to try using Beanstack registration. Please visit this link to register anytime between June 1st and August 17th. Every registered teen (grades 7-12) will be automatically entered for raffle prizes that will be announced at the end of the Summer Reading Program, and each week you can come and pick a book from our summer book cart.

School summer reading lists will be available by July 1 at the library. You may check our summer reading section to see if we have the book you need or place it on hold through the SAILS network. You may also check Overdrive or Hoopla to see if your book is a downloadable audio or ebook.

Summer Reading Prizes

You have to read for school anyway, so why not earn prizes while doing it? For every book, graphic novel, or audiobook you check out of Norfolk Public Library between June 17th and August 17th, ask for 1 scratch ticket. You could be an instant winner of a small prize. Didn’t win? Don’t worry! Write your info on the back of the ticket and enter for the chance to win a large raffle prize that will be drawn at the end of the summer!
