At any point between now and August 9th you can register with the link above.
Read and Bead
Kids going into *preschool through 6th grade can sign up for our Read & Bead program. Once you’ve register, please stop by the library anytime after June 9th to pick up your reading log. Participants will also be given a necklace chain and a brag tag of their choice. Throughout the summer, you will record how many minutes you read on your reading log. Then (no more than once per week), visit the library to trade in your minutes for beads to add to your necklace chain.
The more minutes you read, the more awesome the bead choices become! For example, 15 minutes will earn you a plain colored bead, but a whole hour of reading can earn a shiny metallic bead. Other cool beads to aim for include animal-shaped beads, glow-in-the-dark beads, stars, and beads that change color in the sun.
*Adult caregivers with little ones younger than preschool are welcome to participate as well.
