Halloween was Frank Zappa’s favorite holiday, and New York was the site of Frank Zappa Halloween concerts for years! Come experience Zappa in his element – this film was recorded at The Palladium in New York City on October 31, 1981.

In a career spanning more than 30 years, Zappa composed rock, pop, jazz, fusion, and orchestral works; he additionally produced nearly all of the 60-plus albums he released with his band, The Mothers of Invention, and as a solo artist. His work is characterized by nonconformity, improvisation, sound experimentation, and musical virtuosity. He is considered one of the most innovative and stylistically diverse musicians of his generation.
