We are excited to announce the addition of seven new decodable reader kits to our collection – with more to come!

What are decodables?

Decodables are short texts (similar to easy readers) that contain words that follow phonetic patterns.

For example, a decodable might focus on the spelling pattern “long e” or the consonant blend “bl.” This encourages early and struggling readers to practice and apply the letter-sound relationships they are learning in school to “decode” words.

What is in the kit?

Each of our kits contains a set of decodables and a laminated guide recommending a reading progression to best build a young reader’s skills.

Where can I find the kits?

The kits are located on top of the shelf of the easy reader section and may be checked out for 4 weeks.
