Page Turners Book Club

Location: This group will meet in person in the Schoolhouse

Last Tuesday of the Month at 1pm 
The reading selections are mostly fiction choices–with a sprinkling of non-fiction with an emphasis on books appealing to an many tastes as well as those with interesting points of discussion. This group runs September through June. Registration is not required and drop-ins are welcome. Copies of the discussion book are available in the library to check out at the circulation desk a month prior to discussion. For more information contact Kate, [email protected]

Read It and Eat It

Location: This group will meet in person in the Community Room

Each meeting we will be discussing a different chef or cuisine. Copies of the books we will be discussing will be available at the circulation desk. Join other local foodies to talk about what you made, what you liked or did not like, get recipes, and more! Slightly Literary Book Subscription Box

Location: Lobby

Pick up the second week of each month beginning on Tuesday

A fun, themed book box for adults! Each box will have a themed book(s) and some goodies. You get to keep the goodies, but the books do need to be returned. 

Boxes will be available for pick up the 2nd Tuesday of each month and you will have one week to pick up. You must have a valid SAILS library card to register. Prefer a large print title? Sign up for our COA edition on the event calendar! The themes are the same, pick up is just at the Council on Aging.

Join us for a trip to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum to coincide with our book groups reading The Lioness of Boston by Emily Franklin.  This trip is open to all, you do not need to be in

either book group to attend, but feel free to join us on 6/4 at 1:30pm at the library to talk about the book!

Cost

$50 per person payable to NPL by Saturday 5/25 (this includes transportation as well as admission into the museum)

Itinerary

9:30am: Depart from NPL parking lot

11:00am: Arrive at Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and take yourself on a self-guided tour and then grab some lunch

3:00pm: Depart from Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

4:00pm: Arrive back at NPL

This group is for adult watercolor painters, all levels welcome, to gather together while painting your own projects.
