Monday (3/14)

Maker Mondays for Adults, 11-12pm in the Maker Lab. Come check out our Maker Lab on Monday mornings!  We’ll explore new tools or equipment and be creative together. This program is for adults 18+. No registration required. 

Leaning Into Conversations About Race and Racism, 7-9pm in the Community Room. Register here. Discover new ways to make a safe space to engage in dialogue around ethnicity, culture, race, and cultural proficiency. Begin to identify and use strategies and mechanisms to respond to microaggressions that occur in an organization. This discussion will be led by Norfolk’s DEI Director, Jessica Pepple. 

Tuesday (3/15)

COA Book Group (all are welcome), 2-3pm at the Council on Aging. The group will be discussing Just Mercy by Bryan Stephenson in conjunction with March’s Community Read. Registration appreciated, but not required. 

Wednesday (3/16)

How to Build a Rain Barrel, 6;30 – 8pm (Virtual). Register here to receive the zoom link.  This presentation will instruct the steps for making a rain barrel, including places to buy the supplies and approximate pricing.

Saturday (3/19)

What are jails for? The Story of Mass Incarceration, 1-2pm. Register here to receive the zoom link. Open to ages 7+ (adults are welcome to watch). Wee the People, a Boston-based social justice initiative, will present a workshop where kids will learn about activists and champions of human rights who have been jailed, and begin to question assumptions about crime, punishment, and justice.
