This holiday season keep your packages safe and have them delivered to the library! Through the end of December Norfolk residents with a library card have the option of having their packages delivered to the library. Packages can be picked up any time we are open. The name on the package must match the name on the driver’s license of the person picking up. We recommend putting both of your names on the package if a spouse might be the one picking up (for example: Joe and Jane Doe).

Please read the full list of guidelines below:

1. Customers must be Norfolk Residents with a Norfolk Public Library card to utilize this service. The Library will accept/sign for packages on the customer’s behalf and hold packages at the library behind the circulation desk.

2. The customer will ship to “Customer Name”, Norfolk Public Library, 2 Liberty Lane, Norfolk MA 02056. **We recommend that if you have a spouse who may pick up that you address your packages to both of you, i.e. “Joe and Jane Doe”

3. The customer can use the tracking notification system for UPS and FEDEX for notification of delivery. The library will only accept packages with tracking numbers, no first class mail or envelopes without tracking numbers.

4. The Library will hold the package for pick up by the customer. The library cannot inform the customer of a package’s arrival.

5. Customers can pick up their packages during regular library hours by showing their Norfolk Public Library card and their driver’s license. The name on the ID must match the name on the package. Patrons must sign the log, acknowledging receipt of their package. This log will be maintained by library staff, for identification purposes.

6. Customers assume the entire risk related to this service. The Norfolk Public Library is providing this service “as is” and the Norfolk Public Library disclaims any and all liabilities or warranties, whether expressed or implied. The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Norfolk Public Library, its officers, employees and agents from and against all suits, claims, actions and expenses arising out of the use of this service.
