The Norfolk Public Library and the Council on Aging are teaming up on another exciting program called Books and Bites this Fall! Join us at the Norfolk Council on Aging (28 Medway Branch) on Tuesday, September 10 at 5:30pm for a book discussion on The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri.

Afterwards, join us for a cooking demo with Sandhya Jain at 6:30pm where you will learn how to recreate authentic Indian flavors! In this 1.5 hour demo lesson, Sandhya will cook three Indian dishes using simple spices that are easily available in your grocery store. Hear about the health benefits of these spices as you sample these creations! In this demo lesson you will learn how to cook Saag Paneer(spinach and cheese curry), Aloo Gobhi (potatoes and cauliflower in a light tomato curry) and a quick Caramelized Rice Pilaf.

Feel free to attend both portions of this program, or just the cooking demo. Registration is required though for the cooking demo as space is limited. Register here by 9/10 at 1pm.

PLEASE NOTE: This program will be held at the Norfolk Senior Center (28 Medway Branch)
