Tuesday, August 15, 6:30-8:15pm in the Community Room
For teens and their families, no registration required
This presentation will help middle and high school students and their parents distinguish between typical teen worries and excessive, difficult-to-control worries. Participants will learn how to challenge or let go of unhelpful thoughts and to develop strategies to cope with stressful situations such as exams, extracurriculars, friendships, and applying to college. Parents will learn how they can reinforce good coping without adding pressure to their teens. Presented by Dr. Jamie Micco, Board Certified in Cognitive and Behavioral Psychology and author of The Worry Workbook for Teens. Sponsored by the Friends of the Norfolk Public Library.
